The London Golf Show 2009 – Episode #6
Posted on 19. May, 2009 by Andy Brown in Golf
On the 1st May I had the pleasure of visiting the 5th London Golf Show at the Excel exhibition and conference centre in London Dockland. The Show also hosted the inaugural “London Golf Conference”. This was chaired by Ken Schofield CBE, former Executive Director of the PGA European Tour.
Within this episode of HomeofGolf.TV I talked to the following individuals and companies:
TaylorMade – I check out the new R9 Driver and their amazing TaylorMade Flight Control Technology (FCT) that lets you change the face angle, loft and lie of the club.
Website: TaylorMadeGolf.com (Global) & TaylorMadeGolf.eu (Europe)
Callaway Golf – I take a closer look at the new Big Bertha Diablo driver with its hyperbolic face technology and their X-22 irons with Callaway’s variable face thickness technology.
Website: CallawayGolf.com (Global) & MyCallaway.eu (Europe)
HSBC Wee Wonders Championships – This a national junior golf event for the whole of Great Britain & Ireland. Boys and girls aged 5-12 can enjoy the challenge and fun of competitive golf in an environment. The Grand Final takes place on the 29th and 30th August 2009 at the Strathtyrum Course and Balgove Course in St Andrews, Scotland
Website: HsbcWeeWonders.com
ShowMeTheGolf.com – I chat to Tim Southwell who hosts this fun online golf show with Sophie “golfercise” Horn. This video with Sam Torrance explains exactly what the show is about! The first 8 episodes were broadcast on Setanta in the UK.
Website: ShowMeTheGolf.com
American Golf – They are the largest golf retailer in Europe, offering a large range of competitively priced golf equipment.
Website: AmericanGolf.co.uk
Ted Vickey – Former executive director of the White House Athletic Center under the Bush, Clinton and Bush administrations presents “101 Fitness Tips for Golf”
Website: MyFitnessCaddy.com
David Edwards – Former European PGA tour player now hosts undeniably one of the finest trick golf shows in the world. David entertains at Tour and corporate events in China, USA and Europe and is a world record holder holder for Scissor Hands shots – hitting 310 balls in just three minutes!

Pascale Vandewalle – A Belgian photographer, passionate about golf, photography and traveling around the world. Her golf photographs are a perfect trendy decoration for golf resorts, golf clubs, golf holiday houses and golf lovers.

Finally the Question of the Day:
If money was no object, what golf club would you go out and buy today? Please leave your answer in the comments section below. Thank you.

Andy,
Enjoy your emails and video.
I have become a believer in Titleist drivers, so I would probably buy the 909 D3 driver. I presently alternate between the 907 D1 9.5° and 907 D2 8.5°, and I’m very happy with them.

The latest Taylor Burner driver, I have just recently purchased Taylor Burner woods and Irons for my wife, which she loves, she finds them very forgiving particularly as she is a slightly built mature, but fit woman.
