THANKS for all the good tips Andy. I purchased a demo set of Cobra irons and a new set of Titleist woods and have immediately dropped 3 strokes off Handicap. Incidently I also got larger grips installed and my scores are again dropping. as my pro suggested. they would. because of my hand size. (BIG) A lot of your tips sure helped. Ron

Andy, When we are well into the spring and the weather is warmer please please do a stint at "Ladybank" when the rhodedendrons are in full bloom. I only played in Scotland once and I rate this course as a "MUST PLAY" for any of your viewers visiting Scotland.

Hi Andy - enjoyed the video and you asked for the most memorable Open moment. There have been many over the years but as you are at St Andrews the one that sticks out for me, as my best Open moment from the Old Course was in 1995.

I felt that the following story was a lovely example of the humour that is connected with golf and the pleasure that even the top players can find in a bit of simple mickey taking. So with apologies to any antipodean readers.....

I was fortunate to be at St Andrews for the whole of the week - as I am lucky enough to be for every Open (work you see, someone has to do it!!) and was able to enjoy all of the practice days and indeed the Open itself.

On the Sunday practice day there were not many spectators about as not so many people turned up before the Championship itself as do these days. Nor were there so many players, but still, a few turned up.
Amongst these were Ian Baker Finch and Michael Campbell who was paying his first visit to the Old Course. I was stood, alone, on the second tee when these two turned up, playing together.
They both passed a pleasant greeting to me and asked if I was enjoying myself etc.

Campbell then asked - "What's the line here mate?"

Baker-Finch pointing to some distant building - "It's the apex on the roof mate"

Campbell, after some time peering - "I can't see an apex mate"

Baker-Finch - bursting into laughter, - "It's where the two sides of the roof meet at the top" and then turns to me and putting his arms round my neck, gustering with laughter he says:

"Silly bu.... is looking for a bird on the roof!"

Campbell shrugs and says "I'm only a bl.... golfer for Christ's sake"

Not perhaps the most monumental moment or the funiest incident that has ever occurred in Open golf history but, over the years, of all the shots that I've seen played, the majesty, glory and dignity that the players have always, all conveyed, this really was my truly priceless moment of the Open in 1995

Regards, Neil

Great video Andy, you come over as a genuine friendly person. I have been to St Andrews twice before and your video brings back pleasant memories. The video quality was very good, could you possibly tell me what camera you used as I am thinking of buying one.Best Wishes.
