HomeofGolf TV Outtake – Always Shout Fore
Posted on 31. Aug, 2009 by Andy Brown in Golf
During the filming for Episode 9 with local caddie John Boyne we were nearly hit by a golf ball from the second tee. Luckily a shout of “fore” meant we ducked and could continue filming on the 17th hole of the Old Course with no harm done!
Episode 9 was made possible by the kind assistance of Mike Woodcock at The Links Trust. Visit StAndrewslinks.Allianz.com to see Mike in the Working at the Home of Golf section under Community.

Hi Andy,
I just stumbled across your Home of Golf TV on YouTube and had to watch every episode.
I really enjoyed the series and hope that you have many more to come in 2010.
I am fortunate enough to stay in Dunfermline and visit St Andrews at least once a month, more in the summer months when I can.
I thought I would bring to your attention that the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse is open to the public every year on St Andrews Day (November 30th) and that a vist inside of it would be of great interest to your viewers.
Could I also quote you some information from my Golf Club’s (Pitfirrane) web site DunfermlineGolfClub.com
“Golf has been played in the Dunfermline area for centuries; King James V1 (and 1) and King Charles 1 were both keen players on the ‘Golfdrum’, a ridge to the north of the town. One of the earliest members of the club was Robert Lockhart who, with John Reid, introduced golf to the United States; both were from Dunfermline.
The magnificent Pitfirrane House is the historic home of the Halkett family since the 15th century and is a worthy clubhouse. The building is also spectacular inside with its medieval woodwork, Flemish stained glass and ornate plaster ceiling in the dining room.”
You may find that of interest and maybe give us a vist sometime in the future.
Best Regard
Dave Burns
